It is called as Prepaid because you make an advance payment for using voice service and other value added services like SMS, CLIP, Call waiting etc.

In Postpaid service payment is done for the usage after a monthly bill is generated giving details of the usage for the last month. In Prepaid service you make an advance payment for the usage i.e. to make calls and use data services. In prepaid services there are no deposits to be made for STD/ISD since these features are pre-activated. Also, you need not wait for a bill to be generated to know the usage & then pay accordingly.

Once you have completed the initial procedure for subscription then if you have compatible CDMA Phone then you can purchase RUIM Card which is different in technology that can be inserted in and it cannot be used in GSM phones.
  • But if you do not have CDMA Phones, you will receive:
  • Handset
  • A non-activated Phone along with a charger.
  • A RUIM card.
  • User Manual.

You can buy WASEL Product from any outlet promoting WASEL products. Please carry along with you a photocopy for one of the taskera & as well as a recent passport size photograph.

You can submit a photocopy for one of the address & identification proofs: Taskera, Passport. All fields in the form are to be filled; however, following are the important fields to be filled in the SAF (subscriber agreement Form): Name & Address Date of Birth Proof of identification provided at the time of registration as well as a recent passport size photograph.

As a promotional offer currently the service is offered to you free. To check the balance in the account, please dial 122 from your mobile phone and you will get your balance details from the IVR. You can also send SMS

No, In Prepaid service you will not get any bill giving details of call made & received.

No, currently we do not have any handset upgrade option with the prepaid service. However, in future when we decide to have the handset upgrade option, we shall announce through relevant media channels.

As of now we do not have the option to migrate from Prepaid to Postpaid service OR from Postpaid to Prepaid service. However, in future when we plan to have this option, we shall announce through relevant media channels.

Only at the time of subscription, you select from the range of numbers available at the outlet. There is no separate request you can submit to change the mobile number.

If RUIM with handsets:You need to insert the RUIM into your phone and the phone will be activated once the registration is done and that your documents are in order. You can then start using the service.

The STD/ISD service is already available on your phone and there is no need to for you to pay any deposit to activate the same.

  • RUIM Card Queries
  1. How RUIM Card is different from GSM SIM? There is not much of a difference between RUIM Card and GSM SIM except for the technology on which the network/handsets have been designed.
  2. Can W-RUIM cards be used in GSM handsets & SIM cards are used with CDMA handsets?Since RUIM & GSM SIM both are supported by different technology it is not possible to use WASELRUIM card in a GSM handset or using vice versa.
  3. What do I do if my W-RUIM card is lost? You need to purchase a new W-RUIM card from our Outlet, please carry along with you an identity proof. However you can retain the old handset and use the new W-SIM card.
  4. What do I do if my W-SIM card is damaged? You need to visit our outlet, and carry along with you an identity proof and the damaged W-RUIM card. You will have to fill up a form’ and a new W-RUIM card will be provided on charging 150 AF if the problem is not fixed. All your details will be retained and your services will be activated with the new W-RUIM card.

Here are the tips however it  may vary depending on the type of model you are using, here are the details

  • If your phone appears following phenomenon in the process of application, please read following relative information at first. If the problems still can not be solved, please contact with the distributor or service provider.

When switching on the phone, it prompts “Enter PIN".

Please input PIN Code which offered with RUIM card together. If you have changed PIN code, please input new PIN code. You can also set PIN code deactivated, see “7.8 Security Setting”.

When switching on the phone, it prompts “Insert card and restart phone”.

Please check whether valid RUIM card is inserted or not.

No key beep on pressing keys.

Please check the setting of Key Beep in Settings.

When there is an incoming call, the prompt ringer not rings.

Please check the setting of Silence, Alert Type and ringer Volume in Settings.

No prompt tone at alarm time.

Please check relative sound setting (Silence, Alert Type and ringer Volume in Settings).

Messages cannot be sent.

Please check the signal of network.

-Security settings:
Note“” : Consecutive inputting wrong PIN code for several times can cause locking of RUIM Card. To unlock, you need PUK code. PIN code and PUK Code may be offered together with the RUIM Card. If not, please contact with network operator. The default PIN code is 1234; please change it to your own PIN as soon as possible.

Setting PIN Lock

1. Select Menu→ Settings→ Security.
2. Input your PIN Code, press OK key.
3. Select PIN Lock.
4. Select On or Off.
Note: After setting PIN Lock On and re-start the phone, Inputting correct PIN code is the only way of using phone normally. Otherwise, phone gives emergency call.

Modifying PIN Code

1. Select Menu→ Settings→ Security.
2. Input your phone PIN code, and press OK key.
3. Scroll to PIN Change, input New PIN and press OK Key. “PIN Changed” appears showing confirmation

 

The customer receives incoming calls as long as he is in the validity period. Once the customer moves into the grace period, he will cease to get incoming calls.

For W-RUIMs, the customer has to purchase another W-RUIM enabled handset from the market and simply insert the new W-RUIM in the new handset.

No, this service is currently not available.

Currently we are not offering roaming services but yes, the customer will be able to receive incoming calls while roaming as long as he has credit in his account as all roaming incomings calls will be charged as per the applicable tariff plan.

  • Subscribers can make and receive calls on their phone while connected to the internet (only when no active data transfer takes place)
  • Subscribers can access the internet anytime, from anywhere, even while roaming at no additional cost.

This service is already activated on your internet ready W.L.L or USB. All you have to do is to connect the data cable, follow the instructions in the accompanying CD ROM driver and installation guide and you are done!

There are no activation or rental charges for this service. You will only have to pay for the usage, which is 1AF/Minof data transfer

    • You will need a data cable to connect your laptop/desktops to your internet ready W.L.L in order to access the internet.
    • Data cables are provided with packaging.
    •  An installation software CD would be given free of cost with the data
